according to dictionary.com common sense is: sound practical judgment that is independent of specialized knowledge, training, or the like; normal native intelligence.
common sense is something you need!!! people tend to annoy me when they fail to see the things that are common sense. For example: crossing a cross walk you need to push the button so that it signals it that someone is waiting to walk. You wouldnt just stand there and expect it to assume your standing there. Things that are common sense people tend to get, but most of the time people dont!

ReplyDeleteI think that there is a general understanding of what we should or should not do in the world that most people get. However, I do also recognize that there is some 'common sense' that we expect everyone to know that is not so common. For example, I think that it is common sense that if you are on a jet ski and you can either ride around a boat towing a skier or ride right behind the skier that you would obviously go around the skier because if that person falls you could easily run them over. Sadly a lot of people who ride jet skis have never experienced riding in a boat where ppl are concerned about the person they are towing. Without that boater knowledge the person on the jet ski does not get that concept or that 'common sense' and continues to ride right up by the defenseless skier
My point is that maybe we need to remember that not all of us have the same common sense and to be patient with those who aren't as knowledgeable about a topic as we are.
